Is BioDirector a company?
BioDirector is an informal peer network managed by industry leaders.

Who is involved (owners/participants)?
BioDirector was founded by four industry executives who through their experience of boards, believed that support in the formative years of a board career is vital, and also that board diversity contributes greatly to board effectiveness. Each of the BioDirector Hubs is overseen by an accomplished leadership team with relevant board experience. You can check out our BIOs here.

Where is BioDirector and where does it operate?  
BioDirector was founded in Boston, Massachusetts and continues to operate here. It has expanded into other strategic hubs, with San Francisco and the Bay Area, New York City, San Diego and London, England all actively serving local communities of directors with events.

How do I get involved?
BioDirector has a basic entry requirement which is that each member must be a sitting director of at least one for-profit life sciences or healthcare company.

What is the format?
BioDirector has been set up as an informal networking community and the format continues to be informal meetings with occasional select guests and speakers. Each event covers an important topic linked to board effectiveness that can be debated and discussed amongst the members in attendance.

What is required of me?
Our ask of you is simple – take part. Participate in the networking opportunities, build connections, use the opportunity to actively manage your board career, and help others build theirs’.  

Is there a membership fee?
BioDirector is not currently charging membership fees and is relying on the contributions of its founders and supporters to fund administrative costs. BioDirector community members will be asked to pay an attendance fee for each event they wish to attend.
